June 2018 Sew-Day & Updates

We just sent off an email to our members but wanted to make sure everyone was aware of a few updates for June!

We found ourselves a little light on business (and a little short on officers) for the June meeting – so we decided to make the most of it – with a Sew Day, of course! Come sew with us at Mulqueens, do a little shopping, chat with your guild pals, all of the really great parts of the meeting, if we’re honest.

We all know the Clubhouse isn’t big enough for everyone in the guild to come and set up shop, so we’re trying a new tool, Sign Up Genius, to let you reserve your spot! We have a morning shift for you early birds, 9:30a – 12:30p, and an afternoon shift, 12:30p – 4:30p. Of course you’re welcome to come and sew all day, just go through the process twice and grab one spot for each time slot.

Here’s the link to reserve your space now! (We promise this link works…)

Block lottery will resume in July – sew up those mod lawn chairs in the time being! Grab you Classic Lawn Chair (pictured) or Beach Chair pattern here!

Aren’t they so cute?! We’ve already seen some on Instragram, so get sewing and don’t miss out on the perfect picnic blanket, beach blanket, throw pillow set…. So many fun options!

We haven’t forgotten about you Block-of-the-Monthers! Mel will be sewing in the morning session if you need to pick up the next installment for your quilt! If you can’t make it or drop in later in the afternoon, we’ll have them on-hand at the July meeting.

And finally – we’re excited to be kicking off sign-ups for this year’s Wee-Treat at the Strawberry Inn! We have 8 rooms available for Friday (of course you can always sleep 2 quilters to a room!), September 21st, to be followed by a day of sewing and shopping at the Copper Needle in Payson, with an option to stay a second night. Keep an eye on the Members’ Only portion of the site for more details and sign-ups, coming soon!
