Who We Help

Mission: Strengthening the community by providing behavioral health, healthcare and social services to all ages, faiths and backgrounds.

Vision: At JFCS, we hope for a future where families are strong, where our elders are cared for and where children are safe. Our dedication to our mission is strengthened by our commitment to our core Jewish values that honor community and the continuity of the generations.

The Need

Lap quilts (40″ x 50/60′) for elderly shut ins services by JFCS social workers.
Small decorative quilts (about 12″ x 12″) for distribution in holiday bags for same recipients.

Hushabye Nursery provides a therapeutic and inviting environment of short-term medical care to infants suffering from Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) and their families. We offer non-judgmental support, education and counseling to families in a cost-effective manner.

My Sisters' Place

My Sisters’ Place is a licensed, residential domestic violence shelter. It provides a 24-hour crisis phone line and short-term confidential shelter for women and men with or without dependent children who are homeless as a result of family violence. Other services include case management, victim advocacy, children’s services, crisis intervention, information and referrals, and safety planning.

The Need

These quilts stay with the family when they relocate from the shelter.

The Arizona Department of Child Safety primary mission is to protect children. Children are placed in the care of the state through no fault of their own. Usually, child or adolescent placement with foster families or close relatives occurs abruptly due to an emergency to keep children safe.
