Now You See It, Now You Don’t. The Magic of Disappearing Blocks.
Brita Nelson of The Questioning Quilter
Learn about the magic and beauty of disappearing blocks with this interactive online lecture, demo and trunk show. Using 3 cameras, one on me and the quilts, one pointing straight down at the cutting mat, and one close-up on the quilts, I will be able to show you how easy it is to turn simple blocks into beautiful complex patterns. Using the Zoom format you will be able to ask questions for me to answer during the presentation. I will also show you how different block designs can be enhanced by color choices or slight modifications to make even more interesting full quilts

Barb Tatera trunk show/lecture on Negative Space
Using Positive Thinking for Negative Space
Do you love modern quilts but are a little unsure of what to do with the negative space? This presentation will help you look at the negative space in a whole new way! Decide what you want to stand out on your quilt, then use the quilting to draw attention to it. You can also create movement or create a secondary design in the negative space. Think outside of the box and come up with quilting ideas before you even start your quilt rather than waiting until the “quilt as desired” step. Take your quilting to a whole new level by making the negative space shine!
Barb is a Guild member, a Handiquilter Educator, an award winner and an extremely accomplished quilter. You can follow Barb on Instagram @sapphire.stitches
