Meeting Minutes-23 people present
12:00 PM Welcome and social time and set up for party12:35 PM Announcements-Tiffany
Activity: Potluck and social time, members chatted, looked over chair descriptions and show and tell (and cast their votes for favorite quilt) for close to an hour

1:20 PM–We reconvened and introduced ourselves and welcomed a few new people.  Lisa and Alyssa then went to take pictures of the show and tell items while Tiffany and Angela read chair postitions and solicited volunteers.  (Jona was unable to make the meeting).

We had volunteers for all postions and they are as follows:

Quiltalong Chair–Kirsten and Tracy
Hospitality/Snack Chair–Bonnie
Workshop Chair–Gina and Kristie
Event and Swap Chair–Chelsa
Bee Keeper–Danny
Challenge of the Month Chair–Kristi
Show and Tell Chair–Nedra
Block of the Month Chair–Limbania
Philanthropy/Charity Chair–BJ and JackieAfter some discussion, we have tentatively planned to meet up at the AQG quilt show for our March meeting since it falls on the same day.  We hope to find an extra day to meet between the March and April meeting day to hold our Demonstration Day if possible.  We will let you know when this has been decided.

The winner of the favorite quilt was Alyssa and her Groovy Quilt!  Since she donated the prize she asked that second place be given the prize.  We had a tie for second so one of them got the Angela Walters book and one of them got the Aurafil thread pack.  Melanie and Chelsa were tied for second, so they were our winners.

Our hospitality chair Bonnie said she will get something together for snack assignments and let us know when it is our day to bring a snack.

It was announced that we will be accepting payments at our January meeting!  We are still trying to get the online payment option sorted out (and trying to do that has messed up something on our website and we are working to fix it).  There will be an email with the link to online membership forms (and payment if we can get that up and running) soon.

It was also announced that Val at Bernina Connection will let us start getting our 10% off even without our membership cards–we just have to mention we are PHXMQG members.

Next month our chairs will be telling us of the upcoming plans for the year (or immediate months) and we will be signing up for the activities we want to participate in.
