PHXMQG Meeting Minutes- October 12, 2024

In Person Meeting 1:00-3:00

Board Members present: Erika Daniels, Michelle Jensen, Pam Meylor and Elisabet Hannafin. 

President Erika Daniels opened the meeting at 1:31 pm

Erika welcomed all to our PHXMQG monthly meeting. 33 members and 3 guests attended.

Quiltcon overview for 2025: 

1. 1. Make sure you sign up for your free admission tickets
   2. Challenges: Transparency, Fabric Challenge – Winham Ruby + Bee, Community Outreach Challenge, Low Volume Member Exhibit
   3. Quilt Show (and challenges) entry date 10/31
   4. Volunteers still needed
   5. Classes still available
   6. Affinity spaces and resting spaces

Phoenix Airport Museum Show : 130 entries – 24 selected

Community Outreach

There was a drop off spot at the meeting for any Charity Outreach projects – Erika was collecting for Diana.

Block of the Month 

Barb Brandt showed her completed quilt top and encourage guild members to keep working on their quilts.
