One piece of fabric 6” x 4”
Heavily starch fabric (or stiffen with another product such as Terial Magic) press flat and trim to 5 ½“ x 3 ¾”
Watch YouTube video and press fabric according to folding directions
When finished, sew a line in the middle, from collar to bottom (where the shirt would close). This will hold it together better. Embellish if you wish.
Glue magnet to back.
There are several videos on YouTube that you can use, I used this one
Eight (8) – 5” pieces of fabric with interfacing fused to back. (I used charm squares)
Can use alternating fabrics, 4 and 4 or 4 different fabrics x 2, or 8 different fabrics. Make it fun and modern! We are NOT doing Christmas colors or fabric as the video shows. This is a friendship exchange, not a holiday decoration.
Tip: I used MonoPoly thread because I did not like the way the thread looked in the video and there was no thread color that would have blended with all my chosen fabrics.
No need to put on hanging loop.
1 – 5”x9” fabric for outside of bag
1 – 5”x9” batting
1 – 5”x (approx.) 12” fabric for inside of bag and collar (length of fabric depends on width of measuring tape used)
10” of metal measuring tape 5/8” wide
