“I designed a stained glass window years ago for a family residence. The window was never fabricated and the abandoned design beckoned me to create anew, this time using fiber art as my medium. I begin by cutting up photographs of people, places and things that I overlaid onto my design. I then painted maps, arterial roads, city centers and details to fill in spaces. The composition was so large and difficult to work when it came to the stitching process, I split the work into three panels to begin my machine stitching. After all the panels were completed, I stitched them together and overlaid the circle ring to tie it all together. A work in progress, however aren’t we all? My circle of life is now complete, but my story continues.”
