Charity Challenge

At our last meeting we talked about making some drawstring bags to donate to the Chandler Police Station. We thought it would be nice for them to have something for the children in crisis they come into contact with to pack their stuff in.

Sew Mama Sew has several different tutorials at http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/2011/08/how-to-make-a-drawstring-bag/ if you want to pick one of those (or find your own) to make a drawstring bag or two for our Charity Challenge.
I hope some of you find time to make a few!

Update on last month’s challenge–BJ has made some disappearing nine patch blocks to send on to Hurricane Sandy survivors (yay, BJ!) so after this month’s meeting I will get them in the mail.  If anyone else decides to do that the blog post about it is here http://www.phoenixmodernquiltguild.com/2012/11/november-challenge-continues.html

Happy Sewing!
