New Logo Designs for The Phoenix Modern Quilt Guild

At our recent Guild Meeting, we discussed giving our Guild and branding design overhaul. We plan to create a new branding which will include a logo, membership cards, website, email newsletter and possibly other fun things in the future.

If you were not at the recent meeting, I would like to introduce myself! My name is Alyssa Lichner, and I am a new member of the Phoenix Modern Quilt Guild.  I am a freelance graphic and web designer, modern quilter, and blogger at Pile O’ Fabric. I will be helping our Guild with any design or computer related tasks.

During the process of the design overhaul, we want to keep you all up to date and would really love your feedback! Today I am presenting to new Logo designs, we will be voting on.

When I sat down to work on these designs, I first picked out a classic Phoenix Sunset photograph. I then used this Photograph to create the color scheme. My goal with our logo is to portray the essence of Phoenix, with a Modern Quilter’s flair.

For the first logo I kept the color simple, but added the quilting visual. For the second logo I took a classic piece of the desert and added some quilters patchwork!

*Please Note – This is not the final sizes of the logos, they will probably be larger.  For the sake of fitting in this post they are smaller. 🙂

So we are taking a poll of which logo you all like better, and any additional feedback would be wonderful!

Which logo do you like better?
I am looking forward to using my design knowledge to help our Guild! If you ever need any help with anything design related feel free to contact me here.
