Block Lotto 2026
WHAT IS BLOCK LOTTO?
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
- A pattern is posted on the website and presented at a meeting to make a fun quilt block. It will be displayed one month before it’s due at a PHXMQG meeting.
- You make as many as you want!
- Bring blocks to a meeting and you get one raffle ticket/one chance to win for each block. (Quantity gets you more tickets: 5 blocks = 6 chances!)
- Someone goes home with all the blocks and makes an awesome Modern Quilt!
- Directions will be here prior to each month we will have a lotto (lottery) for all the blocks!
WHY PARTICIPATE?
- Learn a new block pattern.
- Make a quilt for you, a lucky friend or community outreach.
- Make placemats, tote bags, and other small projects.
START SAVING YOUR SCRAPS!
For 2026, each block will have one or two colors ‘focus colors’ within the block, and the background color (if there is one) will be specified. This is a chance to ‘shop your stash’ and use colors that you might not usually have as a focus.
Remember, make a block with integrity that you would like in a quilt to keep for yourself, donate, or give to a very lucky someone.
