• Approval of June 2017 meeting minutes
  • Kate G. made the  motion
  • Candace L.  seconded the motion
  • The membership voted to approve the minutes
• Tuesday, July 25th to be sext Sip n Sew for hand sewing; evites forthcoming
• Reduced dues to join now; $20

President Report

  • Demo day at Tech Shop
  • Need sign ups for Demo Day in August, check your email for a sign-up link
  • Click here to sign up to demo something!
• September will be the great Phx Modern Sewing Bee Season 2
  • Here is last year’s flyer if you need a refresher on the rules:

  • The meeting will be held at Mulqueens unless otherwise announced (yes, we know it was small today…)
  • Block will be announced Sat Sept 9th
  • Rules will be posted/handed out in August (same rules as last time, see above)
• Yard Sale Oct 21 in lieu of meeting
  • Teresa organizing – a huge thank you!
  • Tech Shop will be hosting us in the largest room
  • Aug 1 early bird table special, $15, guild only; there will be an email coming out with the password
  • Sept 1, open to anyone to get a table for $25
  • Come shop, host a table sell any sort of craft supplies
  • Little bundles and kits have done well at other sales
  • Up to sellers for payment types
• Need volunteers to take over the board for 2018
  • Send email to [email protected] if you’re interested
  • Each position is elected independently, members must be present at the November meeting to vote – no absentee ballots will be accepted, in accordance with our by-laws
  • Committee chairs, let Holly J. know if you want to stay in your position
• Block Lottery
  • Draw raffle ticket for July winner of the house blocks
    • Congrats Christina!
  • August Block Spools – free pattern from Cloud 9 fabrics.
    • You only have to do one block – but I betcha can’t make just one!!
    • Make your “thread” area one solid piece of fabric or strips to make it variegated if you’re feeling fancy!

• Retreat Nov 15-19 – sign up for wait list today.  We will email you if a spot opens up.
  • If you went last year let Holly know whichever way you need to rsvp
  • UPDATE – Odegards has given away our retreat spot – stay tuned for more information on other options.
