2013–Year in Review!

1 Skillbuilder BOM

This year we did so many fun things!  All year long some of us worked on the Skillbuilder BOM all year long.

2 Mug Rug Swap

In January we had a fun mug rug swap!

In February Alissa taught us how to paper piece!

In March we collected and donated lots of drawstring bags for the police station–to give to kids in need.

We also collected split four patches for the Hurricane Sandy Relief Quilt Project.4 e

In April we had our emerald challenge.  We also had a pincushion exchange!

Limbania got a pink gift of love from the guild in May!

A few of us made flags to send in support of Boston.

Danny inspired us all with her elephant and taught us how to embroider in May too!

Some of us did a Drunkard’s Path Quiltalong this year 🙂

Our very own Cristy taught us how to applique a coffee cup cozy in June!

We had a paper piecing challenge in July and Cristy’s mother–Sharon Schamber–came and did a trunk show and later came back and taught us piecelaque along with Cristy!

In August, we donated many quilts to Yarnell to support the victims of the fire there.  We also did a bag swap!

In October we decided to join the official Modern Quilt Guild in January 2014.  We also had our embellishment challenge and our pillow swap!

In November, our own Nedra had a trunk show featuring Triangles on a Roll.

Our holiday potluck was in December and everyone went home with a magnet!

We worked on our paper pieces hexagon freebies!

And we participated in our annual fabric swap!

We introduced our new board and are looking forward to what 2014 brings for our guild!  12e

We also shared many quilt in our show and tells and exchanged many blocks in the Vitamin D Bee and many treasures at our treasure table!

Thank you once again to all our board members this past year and a half–Tiffany, Jona, Lisa, Alissa, Alyssa and Angela for all their hard work and dedication and for getting us off the ground.  Thanks too to all our chairs for all their efforts this year.  You really did make a difference and we appreciate you!
