December 2014 Meeting Reminder

Reminder that the December meeting will be held at 12pm (note the early start!) on Saturday, December 20th at Scrapbooks Etc (the Etc is fabric!). The location is on the Northeast corner of Lindsay Road and University Drive (2820 E University Dr #111, Mesa, AZ 85213).

We will be having our end of the year holiday potluck (signups here: PerfectPotluck.com coordinator: Bobman; password: PHXMQG), show and tell (including our current guild charity efforts), and swapping fabric! There are three fabric swaps and you can participate in a few or as many as you like. For the solid colors we are doing signups over here (SignUpGenius passcode: PHXMQG) so that each swapper goes home with a variety of colors. Extra blank labels will be on hand if needed.

– Solid Jewel Tone: label with brand and color way

Also, member Brooke has suggested collecting hashtag blocks at the meeting as a part of an effort that quilter Joshua of Molli Sparkles (molli_sparkles on Instagram) posted today on his blog. The blocks will be used to create comfort quilts for the families impacted by this week’s events in Sydney, Australia. Julie of Intrepid Thread has offered to mail blocks collected in the US so we will collect at the meeting and then send them along to her to go into the big shipment overseas.
