February 2013 Meeting Reminder

Just a reminder that we are meeting this Saturday at 1 PM at Jona’s house in Gilbert (her address was sent out in our newsletter, if you still need it contact a board member ASAP) for our Charity Sew In!  
BJ and Jacki are all set to help us make lots of drawstring bags to donate to the Chandler Police Station for children in crisis.  We will also be finishing up our first donation quilt (thanks again Nedra for donating supplies for that!).  If you have made any Quilt of Valor Scrappy Trip blocks Angela will collect those to send to Alycia for wounded warriors too.  



















Jacki and BJ said folks can bring:
fabric for bags – leftover fabrics will certainly work – no less than about 15″ x 22″.
shoe strings… I have previously found packages with several pairs in a bubble pack at 99cent stores
colored pencils…  the short ones would be best and we can divide up larger packages into groups of 3-4 for each bag.
capri sun or other packaged drinks (keep in mind possible crushing and temperatures in the trunk of a car) 
All of these items will earn you a ticket to win some prizes that same day!
**If you have an extension cord or ironing board/iron you can bring, please bring them.  Of course bring your machines and your basic sewing supplies too.
Don’t forget to bring your Skillbuilder BOM blocks if they are done for a punch on your card from Limbania!  Also our mug rug swap will take place so we look forward to that…bring your mug rugs!  I can’t wait to see them.
